Overview
We partnered with a regional restaurant chain to produce a series of high-quality recipe building videos designed to elevate the in-store customer experience across multiple locations.
The project required visually consistent, professionally lit content that could scale across large-format displays inside restaurants while also being adaptable for social media and short-form advertising.
The Challenge
The client needed premium video content that would:
Look strong on large in-store screens across multiple restaurant locations
Accurately represent menu items through professional food styling and lighting
Remain visually consistent across a series of videos produced over several days
Extend beyond in-store use to support social media and paid advertising
In addition to visual quality, the client wanted to maximize the return on the production investment by creating assets that could live across multiple platforms.
The Approach
We approached the project with scalability and longevity in mind. During pre-production, we worked closely with the client to understand:
Where the content would be displayed (large in-store TVs, social platforms, ads)
How long the assets needed to remain relevant
Which menu items and visuals would have the widest utility
From there, we designed a production plan that emphasized:
Professional food styling and controlled lighting to ensure consistency
Multi-day production scheduling to allow for careful execution without rushing
Intentional shot planning to capture footage that could be repurposed beyond the original deliverables
Throughout the process, we actively looked for opportunities to capture additional usable footage without increasing disruption or production complexity.
The Production
Production took place over several days and focused on capturing a range of food-focused visuals tailored for high-resolution, large-format displays.
Key production elements included:
Carefully styled food setups designed specifically for video
Controlled lighting to maintain consistent color, texture, and contrast
A repeatable visual approach to ensure continuity across all videos
Additional coverage captured with future repurposing in mind
The result was a cohesive library of food content that felt premium, intentional, and consistent across all locations.
Post-Production & Content Extension
In post-production, we edited a core set of videos designed for in-store playback on large screens.
From there, we extended the value of the project by repurposing footage into:
Short-form social media content
Vertical and square assets for platform-specific use
Short-form ad creatives used in paid campaigns
By planning for flexibility during production, the client was able to deploy the same footage across multiple channels without the need for additional shoots.
The Result
The finished videos were rolled out across:
Large-format displays in multiple restaurant locations
Social media platforms
Short-form digital advertising campaigns
The project delivered a polished, elevated visual presence in-store while also providing the client with a versatile content library for ongoing marketing use.
The project led to repeat and expanded work, as we are continuing to support additional content needs as the refreshed brand rolled out further.
Why It Worked
This project succeeded because it was treated as a content system, not a one-off production.
By combining:
Strategic planning tied to brand goals
Professional lighting and food styling
Multi-day, carefully paced production
Intentional asset repurposing
We helped the client maximize the impact and lifespan of the content while supporting a larger brand initiative.
Our focus on adding value beyond the initial scope helped build a long-term partnership rather than a single deliverable.
